Friday December 23, 2011
It was a very chills day. "skipped" food and nutrition class by bringing down the attendance. Drove to bryan's school to pick him up. We wanted to eat at malyasia but there was no time so we ended up going to train pho, but there were no seats so we ended up eating at vic hong. Ate the pho in like...15 minutes.

Went to the winter assembly. The teachers were so cute! They did some like 12 days of christmas thingy. And the student council did some cute ballet performance. :')

After a bunch of us (me, bryan, karen, larry, tiffany) went to Go for Tea. I opened bryan's present. SneakySneaky boy hiding TOMS in Vans box. :') I wanted them so much cause my old ones are STANKY. Oh and bryan loved my calender. LOOOOOLs
so originally, bryan and I were supposed to go out for dinnner but the bubbletea made me so full, so we all ended up going to Larrys. Picked up Denton and had a small jam session in the car blasting pussycat dolls, backstreet boys and all that great great really loudly. Made me realize how much I'm going to miss these people next year when we're all going to different universities :'(

At larrys house we ate pizza, and they played games while I was TRYING to sleep. After my brother called me to pick him up :( But after bryan and I went to wal-mart to buy barbies dreamhouse gingerbread house kit. LOOOOL it was actually so much fun making it. Got icing on tiffany's hair. I peed a little laughing so hard. :)

It was a good day. Haven't had that much fun in a while.

then picked up bryan to go grocery shopping at H-Mart.
Dropped him off and then went home because I didn't have any money.
went to dollarama, it was closed :'(
went to some small dollar store but they didn't have the baskets i wanted.


Sunday December 25th CHRISTMAS
woke up really early to go to church.
Had to wrap presents for volunteer place.
came home and cooked the christmas dinner.
I made the gravy, mashed potatoes, salad and other stuff :)
I'm sucha good daughter.
Got money from pappa jeong.
and made mamma jeong write me a card

Monday December 26th BOXING DAY
I ended up waking up at 1 o'clock. :) slept in! WOOOT!
Got picked up by Marcus around 2 o'clock to go shopping with him, bryan and karen.
We ended up going to upper canada mall which was a good choice since it wasn't hectic. There were no lines :)
I ended up getting a jacket, blazer, shirt, and undies. :)
spent $60 and $40 from giftcards.

Came home and ate out at KAORI. Their sushi is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. Got a medium boat + udon noodles + this rice thing.

Came home, showered and left to our bayview hill annual christmas sleepover.
Did the usual, gift exchange, gingerbreadh house, chubby bunny, and the gossiping (:
It kinda saddens me that this is the last christmas sleepover. Well we're probably going to have one during university but I'm for sure going to miss seeing them.
We ended up sleeping at 7.

December 27th, 2011

Woke up around 1 o'clock. I tried the double eyelid glue and it failed :(
Well it looked REALLY fake on me. I like my unique half double eyelid (:
Grandma Yu made us yummy egg sandwiches. Haven't ate a sandwich in so long.

Got picked up and went home to get ready for MOXIES (:
dressed like a "deca" kid for a nice dinnner with stephanie, nancy, amy, ashley, karen, fiona, erika and crystal. Got seafood linguine. Omgosh the whole night we were saying how we should say it was stephanies birthday to get free dessert. Our waiter comes to us and says "so I'm guessing it's someones birthday...specially you?" and points at stephanie. We were all like YES YES YES it's her birthday. And we ended up getting free dessert. HAHAHHA well stephanie did get the most expensive dish and appetizers. HAHA :)

went to nancy's house after to watch friends with benefits. I wanted to watch that movie SOOOOO badly and i finally did. It was a cute movie (: but i don't think i would ever want a friend just for sex.

Hyebin told me that I need to get my eyebrows done.

My mom said if I go to Korea I can get my eyebrows tattooed.

1) WET TOWELS

When my brother is home from university I have to share the washroom with him. I use a separate towel as him but sometimes that loser is too lazy to get his own so he ends up using mine. So I end up feeling his disgusting stuff on my towel after. It's DISGUSTING. I don't like the feeling of wet towels. EEEEECK!

2) Shaking your leg

I hate it when people shake their leg while in class, or whatever. KEEP YOUR LEG STILL! Trying to concentrate it and all I hear is that sound.

3) saying "swag" every other word.

makes me want to punch them in the face. KAY CALM DOWN with the words. There this one boy at my church...he actually says it for anything.

4) Not picking up their damn phone.

Senior Lunch

It's our senior year. Last year to go to school everyday with our friends. In a year, we will all be separated all over the country. Every day at school will be important but the office decides to separate all of our lunches. I was so excited to have lunch again with some people like KAREN, but NO. They decided to take everyone away from me. Not only do I have classes with NO ONE, but lunch with NO ONE.

Well, there goes my social life. :'(

I wanted to bring my car to school and go out to lunch with my buddddddies.

Bullshit school, aka BSS sucks.

SEVENTEEN BURFDAY

yeah so I had a really late birthday party on August 27th 2011.

I had my essel exam in the morning...I failed.

So I picked up Hyebin and Michael drove us home.

Me, Hyebin, Emma, Bryan and Marcus set up everything. (:

Hyebin curled my hair, but I think it made my face look fat. :'( SNIFF SNIFF.

Gained so much cheek fat.

So everyone came and we ate in the backyard.

pizza, and a bunch of other korean food :D

YAY!

and then we cleaned up, and then we all went downstairs to watch Insidious.

Oh my gosh, it was pretty scary. A lot of pop ups but I GOT THROUGH IT.

and I didn't even get a nightmare!

so after we went upstairs to do cake stuff and open presents.

I think it's the awkwardest thing when people sing happy birthday to you :S

CALLING > TEXTING

I prefer calling instead of texting. Doesn't it get SO ANNOYING when you have to constantly text them like the simplest questions. Especially when you're trying to meet up with someone. "where are you?" "how long will it take you?" "I'm here." Calling the person and telling them would only take 2 seconds.

One of my BIGGEST PET PEEVES, is when I call them and the person never picks up but the moment I text them they reply in a second saying "oh, I'm busy." CLEARLY you're not.

I think I'm a jealous and selfish person.

SUMMER '11

Only a couple of weeks until summer is over and we're back to our regular routine - school. I am proud of myself for actually using this summer wisely. I volunteered which was a great experience. I love kids and they never fail to make me smile, and occasionally make me want to punch them in the face. I met lots of new people from working at the summer institute. Hopefully I'll get to see them again in the future!

I didn't completely waste my brain this summer. I got some chemistry tutor for grade 12, even though I didn't understand half of it. I finally took my lazy ass to driving school, where I cheated my way through the final exam. Kay half the stuff he taught us weren't on the exam.

If I look at the list of stuff I wanted to accomplish this summer, most of it is done. There was the hillsong concert that I couldn't go to. There will always be other concerts. There's that job I wanted to get, and I'm working on that. Hopefully this place will hire me and I get to work with my biffle rachel (: There is that G2 but I first have to finish 10 hours of driving with my instructor.

Overall, this summer was good but I'm bummed out that it has passed in such a short amount of time. Back to getting up at 7:45a.m staying up until whatever time whining about ISPs, tests and all that great stuff! YAY!

I never understood how girls or guys would post about who they like or whatever. They say like "Oh I always talk to you, but you ignore me." or blahblahblah, and it's there for EVERYONE to see. Won't it be really awkward when the person you're talking about sees it? Like do you want everyone trying to know or guess who you're talking about?

Sometimes I see people's posts talking about their "love" life and trying to guess who the hell this girl or boy is.

For me, I think it will be so embarrassing to do that. It's like telling the whole world I AM NOT WANTED BY SOMEONE BUT I'M GOING TO CRY ABOUT IT AND HOPE THAT PEOPLE SEE IT AND ASK ME QUESTIONS ABOUT IT, WHICH I WILL THEN REPLY "it's nothing." or "where did you get this information?"

ANIQ

So today at SI, we couldn't play badminton inside the gym because there was some presentation going on. This one boy named Aniq wasn't allowed to go out because his mom thinks it is way to humid for him....so I had to basically "babysit" him. I knew him for the past 4 weeks so he was comfortable with me. So we went to the soda shop where he bought his frozen yogurt and we were sitting at these tables.

I told him, "Aniq, we're on a date 8)) so be a gentleman and buy me one too."

and he got so offended. He was like "WE'RE NOT ON A DATE. I'M TOO YOUNG TO DATE."

and after we took a tour around and we went to one of the classes and I was just joking around telling one of the counsellors "yeah, we're on a date." and again he got so offended.

HEY NOOB, YOU SHOULD FEEL HONOURED TO BE ON A DATE WITH ME.

Don't you HATE it when you try to forget a memory, person, what you said, blah blah blah...and you finally do but then someone says that one word. That one word like the person's name, and the memory comes flashing back? You spend so much time trying to get it out of your life, but it doesn't.

Starbucks

So I couple weeks back I sent an email to starbucks because I was very unsatisfied with my experience there. They didn't have green tea frapp. It happened TWICE!

so this was my very email. You can feel my asianess and cheapness. (:

This not only happened once but TWICE.

Today I asked the barista that I wanted a green tea frappuccino and they said that they had ran out of the green tea ingredient. I would have been more understanding if this was told me to in the evening but what shocked me was that it was in the middle of the afternoon. I am not satisfied about how both stores ran out of a key ingredient. I think you guys should make sure that every store has all their ingredients all the time instead of running out in the middle of the day. You guys not having green tea as an ingredient is like Mcdonalds running out of cheeseburgers in the afternoon or Tim Horton's running out of hot chocolate. Please look into this problem because as a customer it causes me great inconvience and I question whether I should return to starbucks again. Thank you.

So they ended up mailing me 2 coupons. Any size, any drink. So I finally got the chance to use it. Got the largest size possible- venti. Oh gosh it was so yummy! I was going to complain about how long it took them to make my drink...but that's just crossing the line. TEEHEE! I have one more coupon left!

Change

For the past 2 weeks, I learned a lot from volunteering with kids. I learned how much we've changed. Remember the age when the word "shit" was a swear word? The age where it was icky to sit on the same table group as the opposite table? Or how $2 was such a big value?

It's so funny how when we want to grow up so quickly at that age, but once we're all grown up, we want to go back to time. Now that I think about it elementary school was my favourite memory. We didn't have to worry about marks, universities, career, our FUTURE. We didn't have so much pressure on us. When I look at the kids, they are filled with joy that you don't see in teenagers or adults. Even the littlest things make them laugh, some things that I find that are kind of lame. I guess we can learn from that. Instead of finding happiness from the internet or tv, we can find happiness within ourselves (:

oh and some of the kids are so ADORABLE!

Gah I'm going to miss them when I leave next week.

I have my favourite. There is this kid that wears Heinz ketchup shirt everyday and he has the cutest voice! He even has a cute name- DEXTER!

And it's cute when they say HI CHRISTIE! in the hallway or recess, or they come to you during recess. (: Kids aren't scared to go up to you to say hi, unlike us. We try to ignore people or if you're like me, I'm shy to go up to old friends and say hi. (:

Story of the Week

It was like 11 o'clock and I being a fatass that I am, started making my beautifu sandwich. I'm almost done making it when my dad walks into the kitchen:

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING? IT'S SO LATE AT NIGHT. YOU KNOW HOW UNHEALTHY IT IS FOR YOU?"

A couple seconds later, I realized the real reason why my dad came into the kitchen.

He was holding an instant noodle cup behind him. As I finished making my sandwich, he was starting to boil his water. Got to love him!

Kay before you judge or laugh at the weird pictures at the bottom, let me explain to you what happened.

Okay so my hair is not those straight, shiny, beautiful asian hairs.

My hair is thick, very big, and not straight.

I have A LOT OF HAIR

so every year I get what is called a straight perm. I sit for 4-5 hours and get this perm that lasts for 8 months. Straight perm basically makes your hair straight, shiny, BEAUTIFUL even if you wash it. I usually get it during this time of year, but my mom is being stupid.

So now, I have disgusting hair.

A couple days ago, I'm washing my hair and then ALL OF THE SUDDEN, my hair is SOO DRY.

like DRY DRY DRY D:

and I started freaking out...

even if I straighten it with a straightening iron, it doesn't work :(

So now I'm using olive oil cause I heard that it's really good for dry hair (:

It's SO DISGGUSTING THOUGH. BLAH, it feels like you haven't washed your hair for like a year :(

yeah so I showered and removed all the icky oil!

It works!

I think I'm going to do this 2times/week and hopefully my hair will be not dry! :)

cept even if you use awesome smelling shampoo, you can't really smell any of it

So last week while I was studying the library I saw a bunch of grade 12s from my school in their prom dresses all glamoured up. The weird thing was that BSS' prom passed already, so I was like wtf?

And later that week, one of the girls uploaded an album called "faux prom" and I thought they were doing it just for fun, but turns out that one of their friends got sick the night of prom. They got all dressed up, ALL OF THEM so that they could make their friend attend "prom." I thought that was SO CUTE. How they would do that for her. :')

You know what's really really annoying? A SOCIAL LOAFER

social loafing is the phenomenon of people exerting less effort to achieve a goal when they work in a group than when they work alone

Usually when I am in a group that consists of people that never do their homework, talk in class or don't even come into class, I usually lead and tell them the work that needs to get done. Sometimes it might be hard, but with the constant texting, yelling, messaging, and threatening, we get the work done. I never really had a time where one member did NOTHING.

What really sucks is when the person that does NOTHING is a friend of yours. Yes, I know what you're all thinking - why don't I just tell this person (lets call this person "Z") to contribute more to the group, because Z is my friend. Well what if Z is one of those people that act as if nothing is wrong? Act as if he/she is doing enough for the group? That thinks that he/she has the reasons to miss out on the 10 hours of building the project + 5 hours of filming?

And you know what is the WORST? Usually if you don't really care for this social loafer, you can tell your teacher that they did NOTHING, but if it is your friend, it's a totally different story. But at the same time, if the person was your friend, shouldn't they know that you care a lot for your marks and that they should work HARDER? And when I told Z that while me and my other group member were filming and dying, you replied with "Well, I told you guys I had a party to go to." You know what pissed me off? When it was 10pm and we called you during your party. You told us to stop calling you? I expected at least a "sorry for not being able to help you guys out."

When I told you to make the graphs for the project, all you did was sit there. The most distributive thing you did during this whole project was cleaning up, which took like 15-20 minutes. While I was making the powerpoint and everything, and the other girl was making all the graphs, what did you do? Seriously? Well if I asked you this personally, you would've been like "you never gave me the chance to help you with powerpoint...blah blah blah" Well for a person who is non tech savvy like you, I didn't want to ask, you would've accidently deleted our videos that YOU DIDN'T HELP OUT ON.

What pissed me off today was when we were presenting our project, you acted as if YOU DID WORK. When we were setting up the demo and all that other crap, you acted as if you were so professional at it. NO. I was the one that set up that part for 5-6 hours the day YOU WERE AT A PARTY. And speaking of the party, when you usually have a group project to work on, you usually pass down on the invitation to the party. You don't even know how much trouble we had to go through that day. WTF

Back to the presentation part. And when we were watching the bloopers, you were saying "It makes me so sad to see all these fails." WELL YOU WEREN'T EVEN THERE. YOU DIDN'T EVEN CARE IF WE WERE DYING. And when we were telling our teacher that he can watch it on youtube, you acted as if you knew everything. YOU DIDN'T EVEN LOOK AT OUR VIDEO UNTIL LIKE 2 HOURS BEFORE THE PRESENATION. "Oh you can just search it online...search ____________ and it should show up." You know what? SHUT UP. Sometimes you act as if you're always right but sometimes they are DEAD WRONG. And when you were so sad that the class didn't laugh at one of the videos, I thought to myself "well, it wasn't even your idea, you weren't there to record it, you didn't even edit it."

When my other group member straight on asked you " SO Z WHAT DID YOU CONTRIBUTE TO THE PROJECT?" Even you had a frigging hard time answering that question. "uh, I helped build the last part" OH THE PART WE ENDED UP TAKING OUT CAUSE IT DIDN'T WORK. And the day you came to work on it, you left at 6. Wait you always left at 6 or you didn't even come, when I stayed until 11 to finish up.

When I had to put in our powerpoint file and videos onto the teachers computer, I actually didn't want to put your name on the file folder. Seriously, the mark you're getting is not fair.

I love you sometimes, but this project actually made me so pissed off. Next time, I'm not partnering up with you.

My TESTIMONY VERSION 2.0

kay I uploaded this before....but...I'll upload it again...cept I added like 2 more paragraphs. LAWWL ENJOY?

To many people, God is their role model, father and/or best friend. For so many years to me, God was a chore. Being born into a Christian family, I didn’t have a choice but was forced to go to church. Every Sunday, I hated waking up so early. I hated how my friends went out to the theatre or amusement parks without me on Sundays. Instead of having a 2 day weekend like everyone else, I had a one day weekend – Saturday.

When someone who is not born into a Christian family goes to church, they choose to believe in God. They want to get to know him better. They realize the difference between being a Christian and a non-Christian. From there, they get to choose whether or not they want God as their savior. For me, I didn’t get that chance. I didn’t fully understand the importance of God in someone’s life. When I was little, I didn’t know why I had to go to church. I just followed my parents.

Also, I felt like I had to believe in God right away. It felt like my parents were pressuring me to believe in God. Whenever my parents said “YOU BELIVE IN HIM RIGHT? YOU BELIEVE HE DIED ON THE CROSS FOR YOU?” I lied saying I did. Not only was it parents but also other people from church made it feel like there was some countdown. They would say, “Usually teenagers meet God at that age,” or “That’s the age where you’re most intimate with God.” Sometimes, I felt guilty for not meeting Him.

In grade 7, I had a big fight with a girl from our grade at church. It led to a situation where she got all the other people from our grade to hate on me. Every Sunday I would hate going to church. I hated how I sat by myself during service and would see the girls having a fun time. I hated how no one could understand me. I was mad at God for making this happen. From the fight, I went farther from God. I shut myself away from church. I wasn’t as outgoing anymore, and I was very quiet. I didn’t like talking about my life at church because it meant that I got get hurt again.

Last year, during Youth Kosta, I felt the presence of God. When I came back home, for the first few weeks, I was trying to be the best Christian I could be by reading the bible, praying to him every day and even attending morning services. As my old behavior started coming back, my parents started questioning me if I really met Him. They kept on asking, “Oh you’re changing back to your old self, are you sure you met Jesus during your retreat?” It got to the point where I started questioning myself as to whether I met him.

For the past 10 weeks, I sat during the셀제자훈련 (the 10 week bible study program) for two hours wondering what 임효택 부장님 (my teacher who spoke in Korean) was saying. Half the things that were coming out of his mouth did not make any sense. I would frequently ask my classmates to translate what he was saying. Even though I had a hard time understanding what the teacher was saying, I learned something. I learned a new way to communicate with God. I was never the type to read the bible everyday or go to morning services. When 임효택 부장님 told us to write a journal to God, I thought it was a stupid idea. But when I started to write to him, I felt much closer to him. Pouring out all my problems to him made me feel happier. Now whenever I am having a difficult time or need a question answer, all I do is start writing.

Being a Christian is never easy. I believe that He put each of us on Earth for a reason. God created us so that we can accomplish the task he has given us. Even though there might be barriers and challenges along the way, all we need is God to help us.

1) Emotional Whores

Me and my friend at church have been observing this girl now for the past month. She comes into service, pokes the guy, talks to him blah blah blah, but it's so obvious he is so not her type. He is the nerdy, geeky, really awkward around girls type while the girl goes for guys that are...you know...cooler? I don't know but it feels like she is playing him. UGH, like stop playing with guys. Pick one and stick with it you noob.

If I talk to you, don't act as if you didn't frigging hear it. You have ears, and when I say "can you reply" and you say "I'm listening to music" YOU CLEARLY HEARD ME. My nagging about you not replying can be avoided if you said "okay" or "yes" from the start. UGH

Well, I think I'm being a hypocrite cause I can be clingy too...kinda? Well this one is kinda self explanatory

5) People who don't study and complain about it later

If you don't study, that means you don't care about your mark....so shut up when you realize the mark you are getting. Like seriously, you don't do your homework, study last minute, and then complain saying "WTF THE TEACHER IS SO STUPID"...ugh. Like I complain about my mark sometimes, but I actually STUDY even though..its like...last...minute..8-)

6) When non-koreans idolize korean music

I don't know. It pisses me off when non-koreans upload pictures of all these korean celebrities and they all talk about them. I'm being mean, but it pisses me off for some reason. :\ They go "OMGOSH _____ IS SOOO SEXY " or "KAWAII, OMOGOSH THEIR NEW SINGLE IS SOOOOOO AHHHHHHHHHHH" ....well if its a little, then i'm fine, but if you go all wild , then gtfo. :) (SOME PEOPLE ARE EXCEPTIONS)

7) People who think they know me

they go, "you'll probably do/say this." No, I would not do that. Stop predicting what I'll act out. ugh, my grandma does this. "She's mad cause of _______" No.

DAY UNO - 10 things about myself (this is always the day one of all the challenges)

1) Imagine a frog dying. Yup thats how my voice sounds right now. RIBBIT RIBBIT (but a dying version)

2) I have to pee right now but I'm too lazy to get up and walk to the washroom.

3) the basement is so cold. My dad turns the AC high, so while the 1st and 2nd floooor are heaven, the basement is an igloo.

4) I need the motivation to run. I've been saying for the past month or two that I was going to wake up early and jog...cept it never happened. Anyone wanna give me a wake up call.....and stay on the phone with me until I actually get up. I always do that whole ..."kay I'm up" next second: dead asleep. HAHAHAHHHAHAHA :)

5) I find it disgusting when my towel is wet. Like it is MY towel. Who told you to use it? Yeah, it feel so disgusting imagining my brother putting his dirty face over my towel

6) I have an MRI scan this sunday. Guess what time? Not 8pm. Not 8am. Not 10pm. 2AM. YAY! WOOT WOOOOOOOT! -,- the hell.

7) I have the same blankets for my bed in the summer and in the winter. 2 winter blankets (Y)

8) I have no eyebrows. They are non-existent. My friends laughed at me once. We took a picture, and my eyebrows were actually gone. :( I should draw them in with permanent marker :)

9) I like poop...like poo objects like.. key chains and stuff :) but not the actual poo itself. That just stinks (HAHA GET IT ...laugh =.= )

10) Some girls at my church are so annoying. They really need to get slapped in the face. Or get water thrown at them. The make up will come off of them and will reveal their manly faces. HAHAHHAHAH that sounded mean....but seriously =.= they need a reality check.

Comparing Myself?

Do you know what I have to stop doing?

Comparing my weaknesses to someone's strengths.

Comparing myself with others are not going to do anything except for bring me down.

If I want to make myself feel better, I have to change myself instead of always complaining, and stick with my words.

I keep on saying "I'm going to go running in the morning to get fit again" but it has never happened. I'm going to start trying, but I know I'm going to fail, but it's always good to give it a try.

The book One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest has a good example. Even though the main character knows he will not win the bet, he still does to teach his friends that giving it a try matters. So I'll still try to run, but me in the morning at 7 o'clock, is not a beautiful situation :)

My Guilty Pleasures (this sounds sexual)

1) icecream

• not mango though, cause I hate mangos (:

2) Oprah Winfrey show

• Gah, I can't believe her show is over now :( I've been watching her since grade 5
• what do I watch now when I get home? :(

3) "We Got Married" korean show

• this is a show were two celebrities are in a fake marriage but it's actually so cute
• but at the end of every episode you're sitting there hugging your pillow saying "I'm going to die alone. FOREVER ALONE!"

4) NAPS

• oh gosh, how I love them
• well they are not even considered naps because my naps are longer than the amount of sleep I actually get at night.

5) McDonalds Ice coffee

• $1.05 buys me happiness. Oh the large cup filled with the fattening vanilla iced coffee that makes you go to the washroom every hour or so

Appearance Vs Personality

We always say that appearance doesn't matter as much as personality but does it? It's what grabs our attention right? We're on facebook, and OH LOOK! Someone really really cute commented on your friend's picture. Let's click that. Or you're walking down the hallway and BAM, there's that cute boy or girl. Face it (get it? face? HAHA), appearance is an important key in meeting someone. It leaves us an impression of them. Would you rather think about a nice clean shaven good smelling man, or a homeless man that smells like fart? Thought so :)

But we must look beyond the appearance and get to know the person. What they like. What their hobbies are. I heard some cheesy quote before, I think it was "Appearance grabs your attention but personality is what grabs your heart." And it's true. (: There will always be good looking, 6-pack abs men out there, but there will be only a handful of people that will fit with your personality. (:

TEST CALMING TECHNIQUE? O.o

What I do right before a test: Pray to God to give me the wisdom to get a really high mark on the test. I know I can't always rely on him to give me the marks cause I have to study as well. :) But it's been working this past couple of years :)

Even if you don't believe in any sort of God, doing something before a test calms you down.

Instead of going all "OMOGOSH, IMMMMA FAIL"

shut the hell up, put your head down, close your eyes and breatheee. :)

The last thing you want is to freak out and fail your math test!

And we all know asians can't fail their math test ;)

Journals/Blog Posts

Everyone has their way of communicating with God either through praising, praying, reading the bible, talking to other Christians, but I found my way recently.

I never really found reading the bible as my interaction with Christ. I felt as though it was just another school homework. I find writing journals or as I call it "blog posts" to him the best way. I get to talk to him as though I am writing a letter to him, as if he was my friend :)

Dear Jesus:

There is only a month left of school, the most stressful time of the year. This is the time where I slack more on the praying to you or reading the bible. I mean, I barely do it already, so for the next month, I feel like I'm going to get further from you. This time is the time where I shouldd be closer with you. You're the One that helps us get through the hard times, but it's so ironic that so many people tend to lose that relationship with you once the stress comes in.

Wait, even if school is over, it's not even summer for me. I have essel the whole summer. Monday-Thursday 5:30-8-30 Math, and then Friday-Saturday 10:00am - 4:00pm Science. And on top of that I have Volunteeeerrring. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, what do you even want me to be in the future? I don't even know the reason why you put me on this Earth. Can you kindaaa give me the answer soonnn, cause like..........university applications is really really really soon? Thank youuuuuu :)

Oh and this saturday I'm going to say my testimony. I don't really know what to say...maybe the hard times I had when I got bullied at church and I really didn't want to gooo? The time where I stayed in bed crying thinking if I should dieee? (not anymoreee :) ) or the times where I got those dreadful news from my doctor about my spine and kideny? :( I feeel like I'm not going to be able to say half the stuff because my parents are going to be there, and if I spill a lot of stuff, I know I'm going to get yelled and spanked at home. SIGH.

Science Vs. Religion

For the past couple of weeks, I've been learning about natural selection and evolution in biology. How every living organism came from one common ancestor, blah blah blah. I would be sitting on my chair, just wondering what to believe. God or Science? I guess it's always a touchy subject when we get religion involved. Even when I was little, I would be taught from church, God created everything, water, land, light, darkness, and us. But at the same, I learned about how dinosaurs lived LONG before humans were put on Earth. What do I believe? Everything just contradicts each other. There is evidence to support the scientific theory such as fossils, but what about the words from the bible?

I talked to my dad about this topic and he told me not to believe it. Just to think of Charles Darwin as some maniac that made all these theories. But at the same time, I think natural selection is true, and how some animals evolved. But the fact that we have the same ancestor as gorillas? LAWL.

So what do I believe?

How does God choose. Does he pick our names out of a hat. He puts our names into a hat that says cancer, and whoever names come up get it? Does he put our names into a hat labelled car crash, and decide the way we're going to die? How does he create our life for us? He knows what our life is going to be, even before we take our first breathe.

Why are some people smarter than others? More attractive than others? Nicer than others? Why is it that some people are more fortunate than others? Why does he want me to be in this situation right now?

Start Over

Sometimes I want to move to a new town.

Start all over at a high school where no one knows my past, secrets, insecurities, and failures.

I want to a group of best friends like in the movies, where they call you and chill with you. Where you don't always make the plans. Where they need your advice, tell you secrets and want to spend time with you.

Because these days, I feel like I'm the one trying to keep a friendship going but nothing happens.

Don't you hate that feeling when you come second to those you put first?

• You ask people for something, and they go "I need it for later" "I'm using it at the moment." No you're not. I need the whiteout for like a second and I'm not going to use the whole thing.
• I hate it when the doors are opened when I'm sleeping. It has to be closed. I don't want to wake up in the middle of the night and see a shadow of a murderer D:
• When people don't stare at you when you're talking. Like I know some people are shy and all that, but staring at your bowl of rice the WHOLE time is rude (cough brother)
• When people say I don't know to EVERYTHING. Like dude, I think you know what you ate for lunch, or what mom said 2 minutes ago.
• I have a habit of talking really really loudly without noticing how loud I'm being. I got this trait from Mamma Jeong. :(

and a million other things, but at the end of the day, I have to learn to live with this. Plastic surgery can be an answer to many of these wants, but I must learn to accept who I am. Self-acceptance comes before anything.

No matter how many people say "Oh my gosh you're so ______" it won't mean ANYTHING unless you believe it yourself. My friend said to me "You're _____" and I said "thank you thank you."

He said, "You're the one that needs to believe it though."

Can Two People Be In Love Forever?

When I was little, I thought asian parents never got divorced, only white people did. Our asian parents had their asian parents who had really strong traditional opinions about marriage. You get married, and you stayed married for life. But now that I got older I see many of my asian friends' parents who are not together anymore.

Just yesterday I asked my parents, "Mom, I don't know how two people will stay together and love each other for 50-60 years." and my mom replied, "You don't love each other for 50-60 years. You just learn to deal with each other, like how your grandparents are." It's true though. My grandparents fight everyday, and they never agree with each other, so why are they still together?

I guess now divorce is such a light topic that everyone doesn't think of it as shocking as it was a decade ago. Now if you get a divorce it's not a big deal. It's not expensive and it can be done in minutes. You see it in the magazines all the time, "Celebrity _____ divorces with _______." With all the scandals, lies, and betrayal that comes with love these days, it's pretty scary to know you might be in that kind of situation in the future.

One out of two couples get a divorce. Think about it. You get married. You're best friend gets married. Out of the two of you, one of your marriages will end. How do you know if you truly found the love of your life? If your partner cheated on you, will you give them a second chance or let go of them? Can two people stay in love forever?
