We always say that appearance doesn't matter as much as personality but does it? It's what grabs our attention right? We're on facebook, and OH LOOK! Someone really really cute commented on your friend's picture. Let's click that. Or you're walking down the hallway and BAM, there's that cute boy or girl. Face it (get it? face? HAHA), appearance is an important key in meeting someone. It leaves us an impression of them. Would you rather think about a nice clean shaven good smelling man, or a homeless man that smells like fart? Thought so :)
But we must look beyond the appearance and get to know the person. What they like. What their hobbies are. I heard some cheesy quote before, I think it was "Appearance grabs your attention but personality is what grabs your heart." And it's true. (: There will always be good looking, 6-pack abs men out there, but there will be only a handful of people that will fit with your personality. (:

I would rather think about the homeless man that smells like farts. The world is composed of a few moderately clean shaven men who indulge on their material gadgets while a large potion of the population live in fear of war, disease, and starvation.
ReplyDeleteWhen you see a homeless, see not the outcast that cannot be helped. See the human beyond those filthy rages, and help him/her. It's what the homeless person deserves, and if in the same situation, it's what you deserve.
